During the upcoming summer of 2023, we are committed to offering six eight-week courses designed to equip teenagers and young adults in Cameroon with critical skills for their academic and professional aspirations. These courses will provide a comprehensive introduction to essential topics such as English language proficiency, Microsoft Office suite, digital marketing, robotics, career readiness, and web development, empowering students with practical knowledge and expertise that will prove invaluable in their future endeavors.
Here are the details about the courses:
1- Introduction to English
This course covers the fundamentals of English speaking, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills. By the end of the course, students will have a solid grasp of the English language.
2- Introduction to Microsoft Office
This course introduces the essential features of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students will learn to use these tools effectively to create professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
3- Digital Marketing
This course teaches students about digital marketing tools and techniques, including social media, email marketing, SEO, PPC advertising, content marketing, and web analytics. They will also acquire practical skills in managing and measuring the success of digital marketing campaigns.
4- Exploring Robotics
From Building to Programming: This course introduces students to robotics and engineering concepts. They will learn how to build and program robots using building blocks and programming skills they acquire throughout the course.
5- Career Launchpad Essential Skills for Young Adults
This course focuses on developing vital job search skills and knowledge necessary for success in the workplace. Students will learn to identify personal strengths, interests, and values to explore career options, develop skills in writing solid resumes, and understand workplace etiquette.
6- Introduction to Web Development
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to web development for young adults in Cameroon. Students will learn primary web development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and server-side development with Node.js and Express.js. By the end of the course, students will have acquired valuable skills in web development, allowing them to create and maintain websites and web applications.
