Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Data Analyst with expertise in Tableau to join our team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making and improve organizational impact. This role will involve the development and management of reports and dashboards to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SFA’s educational, healthcare, and community-based initiatives. The ideal candidate will be skilled in data visualization and eager to support our mission through data-driven insights.

Time Commitment

Full-time role, typically 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime during product release cycles. Work hours generally fall between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility depending on project deadlines and team needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations for program improvement.
  • Develop, design, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of data from multiple systems and databases.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure data integrity.
  • Work with internal teams to understand data needs and provide reporting solutions.
  • Present data insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Provide ongoing support for data and reporting needs across the organization.
  • Identify trends and patterns in data and proactively make suggestions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of data analysis with organizational goals.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Tableau, including dashboard creation and data visualization best practices.
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.
  • Knowledge of data management, data processing, and data cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
  • English language proficiency at a professional level.
