Position Summary

The Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of software development projects by coordinating teams, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables align with client expectations. This role involves creating project plans, monitoring progress, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to drive project success. The Project Manager will also be responsible for identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Time Commitment

Full-time role, typically 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime during product release cycles. Work hours generally fall between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility depending on project deadlines and team needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and risk logs.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Lead and motivate the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks and create contingency plans.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed to resolve issues beyond the project team’s control.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or a similar project management certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in risk management, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
