Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and engaging Robotics Instructor to lead our Introduction to Robotics with Arduino program.
The program is designed to introduce learners to the fundamentals of electronics, programming, robotics, problem-solving, and project development through hands-on activities using Arduino.
The instructor will guide learners in understanding basic electronic components, building circuits, programming Arduino boards, working with sensors and actuators, and developing simple robotics projects.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with programming and basic electronics, enjoy working with young learners, and be able to explain technical concepts in a simple, practical, and engaging way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured training sessions based on the program curriculum.
  • Teach the fundamentals of electronics, circuits, and Arduino programming.
  • Introduce learners to components such as LEDs, resistors, buttons, sensors, motors, servos, buzzers, and displays.
  • Teach basic programming concepts using the Arduino IDE and C/C++ programming.
  • Guide learners in building, testing, debugging, and improving electronic and robotics projects.
  • Introduce concepts such as inputs, outputs, sensors, actuators, automation, and control systems.
  • Facilitate hands-on-exercises, experiments, and project-based learning activities.
  • Encourage problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and independent thinking.
  • Support learners in developing final robotics projects that solve simple real-world problems.
  • Track learner’s progress and communicate any challenges or support needs to the program coordinator.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Ensure the appropriate and safe use of electronic components, tools, and equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of programming fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Arduino or similar microcontroller platforms.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and circuit design.
  • Comfortable working with sensors, actuators, motors, and common electronic components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and in an age-appropriate manner.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children.
  • Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching, mentoring, or training children.
  • Hands-on-experience developing projects with Arduino.
  • Familiarity with robotics kits, breadboards, sensors, motors, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with C/C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with IoT, automation, or basic embedded systems concepts.
  • Experience with project-based learning, STEM education, or robotics competitions.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, education, or youth-development programs.

Contract Information

This is a contract position for the duration of the Introduction to Robotics with Arduino training program.
