From Douala to the Global Ecosystem: Scaling Salesforce Careers in Cameroon

Striving For All is expanding its Salesforce Academy in Douala, Cameroon, building a structured pathway to globally recognized tech careers.

Initially launched in June 2025, the Salesforce Academy was designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. In Cameroon, where access to high-quality technical training remains limited but demand for digital and cloud-based skills continues to grow, the program equips youth with in-demand capabilities and a direct pathway into the global Salesforce ecosystem. The program is offered completely free of charge, removing financial barriers and ensuring equitable access to opportunity.

The Academy began with a pilot cohort of four participants, supported through a volunteer-led, Trailhead-based curriculum and ongoing mentorship. This initial phase validated a scalable train-the-trainer model, where participants develop not only technical skills but also the capacity to train others.

Building Skills for the Global Tech Workforce

One of the pilot participants, Emmanuel, now leads the next phase of the program as a certified Salesforce professional. Having earned both the Salesforce Certified Administrator and Platform App Builder credentials, he serves as the program’s local trainer, delivering instruction and mentorship to the next cohort.

His journey reflects the Academy’s core model: building local expertise that multiplies impact over time.

What the Program Delivers

Participants receive:

  • Salesforce platform fundamentals
  • Certification exam preparation
  • Career readiness and professional development

The program is delivered through in-person, hands-on training in Douala, reinforcing practical learning and direct mentorship.

Building on the pilot’s success, Striving For All has opened registration for a new cohort of 10 students, with training scheduled to begin in June 2026. The program is targeting a minimum 70% certification pass rate for this group by the end of 2026.

A Model That Multiplies Opportunity

This initiative is designed to create long-term impact by building a sustainable pipeline of Salesforce professionals. By combining certified instruction, mentorship, and ecosystem exposure, the Academy prepares participants to access career opportunities in the global Salesforce ecosystem.

Importantly, the program removes key financial barriers, covering training costs that can reach up to $1,000 as well as certification exam fees of over $200 per certification, opening access to opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach for many students.

Expanding Access to Opportunity

With a proven model in place, the Salesforce Academy is now entering its growth phase. Expanding to a larger cohort marks a critical step toward increasing access to high-quality technical training for underserved youth in Cameroon.

The Bigger Picture

This initiative is more than training. It is the foundation of a scalable talent pipeline connecting underserved youth to the global digital economy.

Striving For All aims to continue expanding the Salesforce Academy, strengthening certification outcomes, and deepening collaboration within the Salesforce ecosystem to unlock long-term economic opportunity at scale.
