Celebrating 91 New Achievers at SFA Youth Program at the Thrive Center

5 min Read

On April 19, 2025, Striving For All proudly celebrated a major milestone at our Thrive Center in Douala, Cameroon. After 8 months of dedication and hard work, 91 students successfully earned certificates in Artificial Intelligence and other high-demand professional skills, marking the conclusion of our 2024-2025 Youth Development Program.

Throughout the journey, students not only developed expertise in technical fields but also participated in our Green Warriors initiative, promoting environmental awareness and action, and our Career Development Program, which equipped them with essential skills for academic and professional success. This holistic approach ensured students gained a well-rounded education that extends beyond technology into real-world leadership and sustainability.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and talent of our young participants. Students explored critical fields like Web Development, Network Administration, English, and Microsoft Office, alongside an emphasis on cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence.
Importantly, all of these learning opportunities were provided at no charge, breaking down financial barriers and ensuring equitable access to high-quality education and training.

Adding to the excitement, top-performing students were recognized with special prizes for their outstanding achievements. Their dedication and innovation stood out, inspiring everyone in attendance.

The celebration was filled with inspiring moments, particularly the showcase from our Girls in Tech Program, powered in close partnership with Technovation, where students presented innovative app projects tackling real-world societal issues — earning overwhelming applause from the audience.

Our Founder and CEO, Mrs. Geneviève Ngambia, delivered an inspiring message, encouraging students to continue striving for excellence.
Mr. Emmanuel Elouti, Regional Education Manager, reflected on the students’ growth and potential, while Prince Soffack Maurice, our esteemed Ambassador, shared words of pride and motivation.

Representatives from partnering schools, including Mrs. Véronique Nyemb and Mrs. Marie Laure Omongo from Lycée Joss and Lycée de New Bell, were present, reinforcing the strength of community collaboration.
We are deeply grateful to Technovation and all our partners, whose mentorship and collaboration have been instrumental in empowering our students to dream bigger and achieve more.

We were also honored by the presence of distinguished guests of honor: Mr. Nkefack Christian, Mr. Mekontchou Franc Kevin, and Mr. Marius Dongmo, whose support added further prestige to the event.

The presence of more than a dozen supportive parents added warmth to the celebration, reminding us of the vital role families play in empowering youth and shaping the next generation of leaders.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering commitment of our incredible community.
We extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, generous donors, and collaborative partners.
Your belief in our mission continues to inspire and drive real change.
