Last month, Striving For All supported over 300 students at Lycée de New Bell in Douala, Cameroon, during their Open House event. This initiative aimed to provide essential tools such as notebooks, reams of paper, pens, and pencils, equipping students with the resources they need to succeed academically and inspiring hope for a brighter future.
As Principal Mrs. Epey Née Array Jackeline Ndiparrah highlighted during the event, the impact of such support extends far beyond the classroom.
“This neighborhood is peculiar because the children are from poor homes,” Principal Epey explained. “Parents are business-inclined, and many don’t focus on school. Gestures like this provide children with a much-needed push and encouragement to pursue quality education.”
The principal expressed her heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the school, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in communities facing unique challenges. She added, “Moves like this are going to help the children a very, very long way. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of this school to Striving For All.”
This partnership not only reinforced the organization’s commitment to empowering students but also reflected the collective effort needed to create lasting change. The principal noted that Striving For All’s mission of encouraging and supporting children for quality education has the potential to go international, extending its impact beyond Cameroon and New Bell.
