Striving For All Empowers Over 300 Students at GBHS New Bell During Cultural and Science Open House.

Last week, Striving For All supported more than 300 students at Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) New Bell in Douala, Cameroon during the school’s Cultural and Science Open House. The initiative provided students with practical tools and motivation designed to help them stay focused on their studies and embrace their potential, regardless of their background.

As part of the event, the Striving For All team equipped learners with school materials and engaged with students to reinforce the transformative power of education. For communities where financial hardships and daily challenges often hinder academic progress, this support continues to play a critical role.

Principal Mrs. Epey Jackeline expressed profound appreciation for the organization’s ongoing involvement with the school. She highlighted that this visit was not an isolated initiative, but one in a long series of commitments Striving For All has made to GBHS New Bell.

“This is the fourth or fifth time Striving For All is accompanying us,” she shared. “These visits help boost our students’ confidence. They make them feel proud, important, and honored, no matter who they are or where they come from.”

“These learners aren’t just signing up for classes; they’re joining a community of changemakers,” the team shared. “As they develop skills and grow, they will become catalysts for change in their communities.”

She further emphasized the importance of such initiatives in a neighborhood where many families face financial and social challenges. According to her, the encouragement students receive during these events helps them realize that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed and that education remains a powerful tool for shaping their future.

Some of our children come from poor homes,” she noted. “But because Striving For All is here to remind them that education can change their destiny, they feel capable. They feel seen. They feel supported.

Her words reflect not only gratitude but also a strong belief in the long-term impact of this partnership. She affirmed that the collaboration continues to touch lives in meaningful ways and will keep inspiring students to believe in their own potential.

This initiative reinforces Striving For All’s mission to bridge educational gaps, strengthen learning environments, and empower young people across Cameroon. Each visit contributes to building a community where students feel valued, motivated, and equipped to pursue a brighter future.
