Two Teams. Six Young Women. One Remarkable Achievement.

wo teams from Striving For All’s Girls in Tech program have advanced to the 2026 Technovation Girls Global Semi-Finals, joining young innovators from more than 100 countries in one of the world’s leading technology and entrepreneurship competitions for girls.

This achievement marks an important milestone for the participants, the Girls in Tech program at the Thrive Center in Douala, and the growing movement to empower young women through technology and innovation.

Power MARS and Nova Light were officially recognized among the 2026 Technovation Girls Global Semi-Finalists.

Turning Ideas into Impact

Technovation Girls is a global technology and entrepreneurship program that challenges participants to identify problems in their communities and develop technology-based solutions that create meaningful social impact.

Over the past several months, participants have strengthened their skills in coding, design thinking, entrepreneurship, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while transforming ideas into functional applications.

This year, two Striving For All teams earned international recognition for their innovative projects.

Power MARS – Mom HealthCare+

Competing in the Junior Division, Power MARS developed Mom HealthCare+, an app designed to support maternal health and well-being by providing accessible information and practical resources for mothers.

The platform encourages community engagement while helping users identify and respond to environmental concerns through technology-driven solutions.

By combining innovation, environmental responsibility, and community impact, Nova Light showcases how technology can help build a more sustainable future.

More Than Two Teams

This achievement represents the success of two teams, but they are part of a much larger community of young innovators.

This year, 32 girls participated in Striving For All’s Technovation Girls program, forming nine teams that worked throughout the season to identify community challenges, develop solutions, and build technology-driven projects.

While Power MARS and Nova Light advanced to the Global Semi-Finals, we are incredibly proud of every participant who embraced the challenge, developed new skills, and demonstrated creativity, resilience, and leadership.

As the competition continues, we look forward to the next stages of the journey and remain hopeful that our teams will continue advancing toward the finalist round. Regardless of the outcome, each participant has already gained valuable experience that will serve them well in their future education and careers.

More Than a Competition

Reaching the Technovation Girls Global Semi-Finals is about more than recognition.

It demonstrates what is possible when young women are given access to technology education, mentorship, and opportunities to innovate.

Through programs like Girls in Tech, participants gain technical skills, build confidence, strengthen leadership abilities, and learn how to transform ideas into solutions that can positively impact their communities.

Building the Next Generation of Innovators

The success of Power MARS and Nova Light highlights the potential of young women to lead innovation and solve real-world challenges.

As we celebrate the success of these two teams, we also celebrate the 32 young women who participated in this year’s program. Together, they represent the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders.

We are grateful to Technovation for creating this global platform and to the mentors, volunteers, partners, donors, and supporters whose commitment helps make opportunities like this possible.

We look forward to following the journey of our teams and hope to see them continue advancing toward the Technovation Girls 2026 Finals.

The skills developed through Technovation Girls are preparing participants for the careers of tomorrow.

Through coding, artificial intelligence, project management, entrepreneurship, communication, and teamwork, these girls are gaining practical experience that can open doors to future academic and professional opportunities.

Today they are building mobile applications.

Tomorrow they may become engineers, software developers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, healthcare innovators, or environmental leaders.
