A visit that sparked excitement, leadership, and over 70 new learners at the Thrive Center.
On Monday, October 20, 2025, Striving For All had the pleasure of visiting Lycée Joss, one of our valued education partners in Douala. Our team introduced students to Thrive Center courses, shared the mission of the Striving For All community, and encouraged learners to explore opportunities for personal growth and leadership.
The visit was met with incredible curiosity and enthusiasm. Students actively engaged with the team, asking questions and sharing their aspirations. “It’s inspiring to see young people so eager to learn and discover new possibilities,” said Principal Mr. Jean Rene Ndebia.
The collaboration of school staff was key to making the visit successful. Mrs. Veronique Nyemb (Assistant Principal) and Mrs. Lise Emani (Guidance Counselor) provided logistical support and guidance, ensuring that the students fully benefited from the session. The Striving For All team’s planning and passion turned a simple visit into a launchpad for growth.
Just two days later, more than 70 students enrolled in Thrive Center programs. This enthusiastic response highlights the students’ trust and excitement, and it reflects the power of connection, engagement, and opportunity.
“These learners aren’t just signing up for classes; they’re joining a community of changemakers,” the team shared. “As they develop skills and grow, they will become catalysts for change in their communities.”
This is one of our multiple visits to Lycée Joss, reinforcing our strong partnership with the school, which began in 2024. Since then, we have provided training to over 250 students from the school. It reflects Striving For All’s broader commitment to collaborate with public schools and ensure that quality learning opportunities reach every learner.
As part of this growing collaboration, Lycée Joss requested that its logo be added to the badges of Thrive Center students from the school. These co-branded badges will grant students special access to the school’s multimedia center, allowing them extra time to practice and deepen what they have learned at the Thrive Center. This initiative strengthens both learning continuity and student engagement beyond the classroom.
At The Thrive Center, we believe that great learning happens in great conditions. That’s why our students enjoy free snacks, a comfortable workspace, and high-speed internet throughout their journey. Every detail at the hub is designed to keep them energized, focused, and inspired—creating the perfect environment for them to learn, connect, and truly thrive.
This partnership continues to demonstrate Striving For All’s dedication to building strong relationships with schools, educators, and students, creating spaces where learning fuels both personal and community impact.
